How do you do this? Please help
PtichkaEL [24]

Answer:

PO=86.2\\ OM=23.8\\

Step-by-step explanation:

To preface, your figure is going to be a line segment, with O as your midpoint, in between points P & M.

With that being said:

PO+OM=PM

Identify your values:

PO=7y+12\\OM=3y-8\\PM=110

Substitute the values into the first equation:

7y+12+3y-8=110

Combine like terms:

10y+4=110

Subtract 4 from both sides of the equation:

10y=106

Divide by the coefficient of y, which is 10:

y=10.6

Substitute 10.6 for y in segments PO & OM:

PO=7(10.6)+12

OM=3(10.6)-8

PO=74.2+12

OM=31.8-8

Solve:

PO=86.2

OM=23.8

Check your answers by substituting:

PO+OM=PM

86.2+23.8=110

Can someone please help me with this question? I don't know how? What is the volume of a rectangular prism with a length of 2x –
lesantik [10]
Volume is legnth times widht times height
lenght=2x-1
width=x-2
height=x+1
multiply all together
use mass distributive property
distributive=a(b+c)=ab+ac so extending that
(a+c)(c+c)=(a+b)(c)+(a+b)(d) then keep distributing so
(2x-1)(x-2)(x+1)
do each one seperately
do the first two first and put the other one (x+1) to the side for later
(2x-1)(x-2)=(2x-1)(x)+(2x-1)(-2)=(2x^2-x)+(-4x+2)=2x^2-5x+2
then do the other one
(x+1)(2x^2-5x+2)=(x)(2x^2-5x+2)+(1)(2x^2-5x+2)=(2x^3-5x^2+2x)+(2x^2-5x+2)=2x^3-3x^2-3x+2

the lasst form is 2x^3-3x^2-3x+2

Im confused

khan academy 8th grade
Anit [1.1K]

Answer:

14

Step-by-step explanation:

hi! so the question is asking what h is when you input -18 for x, right?

inputing in this question means to substitute, meaning that in this equation, -18 will take the place of x!

 • let's see what the equation looks like now
 • h = 17 + \frac{-18}{6}
 • easy as that!

now let's do the math :)

 • because of PEMDAS, remember to do the fraction (dividing) first!
 • h = 17 + (-3)

we can change that to --> h = 17 - 3

h = 14

let me know if you're still confused!
