Answer:

Faltworms rely on difussion to transport oxygen and nutrients to their internal tissue and to get rid of carbon dioxide and other wastes from their body . Flateworms have no heart ,blood, blood vessels, grills , or other respiratory systems. Flatworms have flame cells. Flame cells are specialized cells that remove and purify excess water from the body.

mojhsa [17]

Answer:

All of the options supplied describe the reasons for the extinction of dinosaurs and other species over 65m years ago.

Explanation:

When an impact event happens, the enormous kinetic energy of the asteroid or meteorite – a massive body travelling at high speed – is partly transferred to the Earth but largely converted into heat and sound, creating pressure waves travelling radially outwards from its centre, similar to that of an atom bomb.

As well as this blast created on impact, large amounts of dust can be kicked up into the atmosphere – like a nuclear winter – blocking out sunlight and preventing plants from photosynthesising, which has a knock-on effect to much of the rest of the ecosystem.

Carb loading (eating lots of carbohydrates) is a common practice among marathon and triathlon runners. How does carb loading inc
Gennadij [26K]

Answer:

By carb loading the glucose stored as glycogen can be used to derive energy which increases a runner’s endurance. Two choices that support the answer are

Mitochondria in the muscles generate energy through cellular respiration.

Lungs support cellular respiration by providing the oxygen needed to produce ATP from carbohydrates.

Explanation:

Carb loading is the process of increasing the content of carbohydrate in the diet to acquire energy for athletic activities. Excess glucose in the body is stored as glycogen in the liver as well as muscles. During high endurance physical activities the glycogen in the muscles is used to derive energy.

The glycogen gets converted to ATP by the process of cellular respiration. The mitochondria in the muscle cells perform the process of generating energy. The glycogen in liver is released into the blood stream when needed so as to maintain blood sugar levels. But the glycogen in muscles is used for giving energy to perform physical activities.
