Suppose you do work on an object from rest to a certain speed v. Why does it take four times the amount of work to increase its
Otrada [13]
Answer: it is due to friction.

Explanation: if you were to push an object that is at rest, there is static friction that you would first need to overcome. An example would be pushing a car as it is in neutral. Pushing it takes more force and work to overcome that friction.
But once it overcomes static, it will then turn to kinetic friction. Once the car starts to move, you notice that it is easier to push. This is due to the fact that kinetic friction would equal normal force times the constant while the static friction is greater than or equal to the normal force times the constant.

Hope this helps!!!

Batteries are usually identified by their voltage.
Fynjy0 [20]

Answer:

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Electrical energy  = 18J

Quantity of charge Q = 12C

Unknown:

Voltage  = ?

Solution:

The expression of electrical potential energy is given as:

      Electrical potential energy  = \frac{1}{2} c v²

c is the quantity of charge

v is the voltage

           18  =  \frac{1}{2}  x 12 x v²

           18 = 6v²

              v² = 3

               v = 1.7v

Secondly, a man is rock climbing when suddenly the rock face he grabs breaks away and he is left with a 1200 lb. rock on his che
lord [1]

Answer:

rush of adrenaline

Explanation:

This is believed to have been possible due to the rush of adrenaline that the individual was experiencing. This has happened a couple times in moments of extreme distress where an individual's body is flooded with adrenaline. This adrenaline allows for super human like strength as well as increased senses. The individual that has lifted the most amount of weight in such a scenario, lifted a total of 3000 lbs. Therefore, it is fair to say that 1200 lb. rock was lifted due to adrenaline.
