Since each leg of the large trapezoid is bisected, then HJ is the average of the lengths of KL and NM.

HJ = (KL + NM)/2

2(HJ) = KL + nm

2(5x + 2) = 4x + 1 + 27

10x + 4 = 4x + 28

6x = 24

x = 4

KL = 4x + 1 = 4(4) + 1 = 16 + 1 = 17

Answer: KL = 17

The domain of a quadratic function is all real numbers and the range is y ≤ 2. How many x-intercepts does the function have?
Ugo [173]
<h3>Answer:  2</h3>

Explanation:

The range is y ≤ 2 which means that y = 2 is the largest y can get. The parabola opens downward to form a sort of "frowny face" so to speak. When moving down the parabola, we'll cross the x axis at two different spots. An example of this is shown below with the equation y = -x^2+2.

There's no connection between the '2' in y ≤ 2 and the final answer of 2 roots. We could easily have a range of something like y ≤ 5 or y ≤ 8 and the answer will still remain as 2. The most roots a parabola can have is 2.

8_murik_8 [283]
In order for us to know which statements are true, we need to go over the choices.

A. True
0.6 = 3/5
0.6 = 3/5
60 / 100 = 3 / 5

B. True
0.125 = 1/8
0.125 = 125/1000 = 1/8

C. FALSE.
2.015 = 2 15/1000 = 2 3/200

The statement that is false is Choice <span>C. 2.015 = 2 1/100</span>

Mary's soccer team lost 30% of its 20 games last season they did not tie any games how many games did they lose
Rus_ich [418]
It has been given in the question that Mary's team had lost 30% of the total of 20 games. There has been no ties for this team. It is required to find the number of matches that Mary's team lost.
Total number of games played = 20
Percentage of games lost by Mary's team = 30%
Number of games lost by Mary's team = (30/100) * 20
                                                               = 3 * 2
                                                               = 6
So Mary's team lost 6 games in all. I hope this is the answer you were looking for. The process is easy once you understand the words of the problem.
