First you need to find out how much Molly paid. So, $24 times 0.25 equals $6 off so $24 minus $6 equals $18. Molly paid $18 for the jeans. Then to find the percentage of increase you would find the difference between how much the store bought the jeans minus how much they sold them for which is $18-$6=$12 then u would do $12 divided by $6 which is 2 and then multiply by 100 to get 200%. So the store earned a 200% increase on the jeans they sold to Molly.

Trevor is making 2/3 of a recipe for chicken noodle soup. He adds ½ cup of chopped celery. The equation 2/3 c = 1/2 can be used
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

Cups of chopped celery in original recipe = \frac{3}{4}\ cups

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that:

Trevor is making 2/3 of a recipe

Number of cups of chopped celery used = 1/2 cup

The following equation can be used to find the original number of cups of chopped celery used in recipe.

\frac{2}{3}c=\frac{1}{2}

Multiplying both sides by 3/2

\frac{3}{2}*\frac{2}{3}c=\frac{1}{2}*\frac{3}{2}\\\\c= \frac{3}{4}\\

Hence,

Cups of chopped celery in original recipe = \frac{3}{4}\ cups
