Mrs. Snyder is researching what it would cost to order flower arrangements for a fancy party. She wants one large centerpiece fo

r the head table, and smaller arrangements for the smaller tables. Danville Florist charges $ 12 for each smaller arrangement, plus $ 38 for the large centerpiece. Matt's Flowers, in contrast, charges $ 37 for the large centerpiece and $ 13 per arrangement for the rest. If Mrs. Snyder orders a certain number of small arrangements, the cost will be the same at either flower shop. What would the total cost be? How many small arrangements would that be?

The quotient of a number x and −1.5 is 21
Andru [333]

Answer:

x = -31.5

Explanation:

We are given that the quotient of x and -1.5 is 21

This means that:

\frac{x}{-1.5} =21

To get the value of x, we will multiply both sides of the equation by -1.5

This means that:

\frac{x}{-1.5} * -1.5=21*-1.5

x = -31.5

Note that the value of x must be negative because we are dividing by a negative number and the quotient is positive (-ve/-ve is +ve and +ve/-ve is -ve)

Hope this helps :)

Which of the following is the graph of 2x+3y=6
Bond [772]

Taking point (0,-2) of graph one and replacing in the equation;

2x+3y=6

2(0)+3(-2)=6

-6=6

So graph isn't the required graph.

Taking point (0,2) of graph 2;

2x+3y=6

2(0)+3(2)=6

6=6

So, graph 2 is the required graph.

What is the minimum force required to prevent a ball weighing 22.6 lb from rolling down a ramp which is inclined at 39.0 degrees
Alona [7]
The correct answer is 14.2 lb which is choice D.

Let:

F = minimum force required to prevent ball from rolling down the ramp

The formula will be:

F = w * sin theta

F = w * sin (39 degrees)

F = 22.6 * sin (39)
= 14.2 lb (this is rounded to the nearest tenth)
