Blue Island is a tourist attraction that can only be reached by ferry. Tourists may visit the island on any day but they must re

turn to the mainland on the same day. Ferries leave the mainland every 40 minutes. The first ferry leaves at 09:00 and the last ferry leaves at 15:00. Ferries leave Blue Island to return to the mainland at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00 and then every 30 minutes until 17:00. The ferry journey in either direction takes 15 minutes. Kenny catches the first ferry from the mainland to Blue Island after 12:00 and wants to spend at least three hours on the island.

Which of the lines below is parallel to a line with a slope of 3 and a y-intercept at (0, 3)?
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

\displaystyle line\:HJ

Step-by-step explanation:

\displaystyle y = 3x + 3

The descryption gives you the above <em>Slope-Intercept Equation</em>. Parallel equations have SIMILAR <em>RATE</em><em> </em><em>OF</em><em> </em><em>CHANGES</em><em> </em>[<em>SLOPES</em>], therefore \displaystyle 3 remains as is, and perfourming \displaystyle \frac{rise}{run}, will give you that answer.

Silas had 3 times as much money as Raja. Silas spent $84 of his money to buy a birthday gift for his grandma while Raja was awar
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

Total amount Silas and Raja has at first = $252

Step-by-step explanation:

Let,

Amount Silas had = x

Amount Raja had = y

According to given statement;

x = 3y       Eqn 1

x-84 = y+42     Eqn 2

Putting value of x from Eqn 1 in Eqn 2

3y - 84 = y+42

3y-y = 42+84

2y = 126

Dividing both sides by 2

\frac{2y}{2}=\frac{126}{2}\\y=63

Putting y = 63 in Eqn 1

x = 63(3)

x = 189

Total amount they had = 189 + 63 = $252

Hence,

Total amount Silas and Raja has at first = $252
