Explanation:

A scientific theory can be define as the description for the cause of natural phenomena. This is supported by evidences obtain by experimental process.

A scientific theory is said to be reliable when similar results obtain by the other scientists on application of the same concept or methodology as in theory.

Describe the rules used for writing the outer configuration for the s-block, p-block, and d-block elements?
Lorico [155]

Rules to write the electronic configuration :

Electrons complete orbitals in a way to reduce the energy of the atom. Therefore, the electrons in an atom complete the principal energy levels in order of rising energy (the electrons are getting distant from the nucleus). The order of levels filled appearances like the following

1s, 2s, 2p, 3s, 3p, 4s, 3d, 4p, 5s, 4d, 5p, 6s, 4f, 5d, 6p, 7s, 5f, 6d, and 7p

One way to recognise this pattern, apparently the simplest, is to refer to the periodic table and remember where each orbital block drops to rationally understand this pattern. Different way is to make a table like the one below and use vertical lines to determine which subshells resemble with each other.

 • S block: The S obstruct in the periodic table of components known as gatherings 1 and 2. There is a limit of two electrons that can possess the s orbital.
 • P Block: The P square contains group of 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18, except for Helium.
 • D Block: The D block elements are found in groups 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 of the periodic table.

equal volumes of equimolar aqueous solutions of sodium sulfite and hydroiodic acid are mixed. what net ionic equation describes
erica [24]

Na₂S₂O₃(aq) + 2HCl(aq) → 2NaCl(aq) + H₂O(l) + SO₂(g) + S(s). A light yellow precipitate develops as the process continues.

What does the chemistry term "equation" mean?

Reaction equation are symbolic depictions of chemical reactions where the reactants and products are stated in relation to the following chemical formulae.

Equation and response are what?

What is an equations and a chemical reaction? In a chemical change, bonds between molecules of the reagent are destroyed and new bonds between molecules of the product are established to create a new substance. A chemical formula is nothing more than a statement of fact that represents how reactants generate products.

How does an igneous or metamorphic rock become a sedimentary rock?
ella [17]

Answer: Usually, the rock pieces, called sediments, drop from the wind or water to make a layer. The layer can be buried under other layers of sediments. After a long time the sediments can be cemented together to make sedimentary rock. In this way, igneous rock can become sedimentary rock.

Some alkenes have geometric (cis-trans) isomers because ________. all of the carbon atoms in the compound are rigid and cannot r
faust18 [17]

Answer:

the carbon atoms in the double bond cannot rotate

Explanation:

Isomers refer to molecules that have a distinct arrangement of the atoms in the molecule but have the same molecular formula.

Alkenes refer to a series of unsaturated hydrocarbons that contain ethylene and propylene.

Some alkenes have geometric (cis-trans) isomers because the carbon atoms in the double bond cannot rotate.
