During a solo competition for playing the flute, Sandra was given the following scores by four of the five judges:
musickatia [10]

Answer: she needs a 9 from the fifth judge

Step-by-step explanation: so you have 5 judges and to get a perfect score you need 8. when you multiply the amount of judges by the score of 8 you get 40 witch is 100%, and when you add 6+8+9+8 you get 31 so there is 9 missing to get 40 so the answer is 9.

What's the average of 64 and 63
masya89 [10]
To work out the average, you add all the terms and divide that by the number of terms there are.

64 + 63 = 127
127 ÷ 2 = 63.5

The answer is 63.5.

However, because these are only two consecutive integers, you just add 0.5 to find the average. e.g: average of 2 and 3 = 2.5, average of 3 + 4 = 3.5, average of 6 + 7 = 6.5 etc... Remember, this only works if there are only two integers and they are consecutive.

What are the cost of 1 t-shirt and 1 sweatshirt? (separate)
emmainna [20.7K]

X is t shirt is $8

Y is sweatshirt $11

2x+2y=38

3x+1y=35

We will be using the elimination process so you want even them out same value

2x+2y=38

-6x-2y=-70 ( want get rid of the y-value by increasing to other by when both add or subtract it will equal 0)

-4x=-32

Divide both -4

X=8 So 8 dollars a t-shirt so now will fill x with 8

2(8)+2y=38

16+2y=38

-16

2y=22

Divid by 2

Y = 11 so a sweatshirt is 11 dollars

You can check by fill each by the variable
