You are flying from Houston to Chicago. You leave Houston at 7:30 A.M. At 8:35 A.M. you fly over Little Rock, a distance of 455

miles.
27. Write a linear equation that gives the distance in miles, y, in terms of time, x. Let x represent the pumber of minutes since 7:30 A.M.

28. Approximately what time will you arrive in Chicago if it is 950 miles from Houston?

Answer:

For a uniform move, the traveled distance equation is

y = v*x

where "v" is the average speed (or rate), in miles per minute, x is the time, in minutes.

To find "v" from the given data, divide 455 miles by 65 minutes (the flight time between the cities)

v = 455%2F65 = 7 miles per minute.

So, finally, your equation is

y = 7x.

Answer:

5) The midrange is 19.5ºF

6) The midrange is 67.5º

Explanation:

The problem tell us how to calculate the midrange.

In (5) the minimum and maximum values are given (-6ºF and 45ºF, respectively). Using the formula:

Midrange=\frac{-6+45}{2}=\frac{39}{2}=19.5ºF

In (6), we need to find the minimum and maximum values from a list of them. We can see that the minimum is 58º and the maximum 77º

Then:

Midrange=\frac{58+77}{2}=\frac{135}{2}=67.5º

Given f(x) and g(x) = f(x) + k, look at the graph below and determine the value of k.<br> k=______.
LenKa [72]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

Look at one of the coordinates to find k. For this example I'll look at the y-intercepts (0, 3) (for g(x)) and (0, -2) (for f(x))

g(0) = 3

g(0) = f(0) + k

3 = -2 + k

5 = k

What is the answer to -7d-22=4d?
Juliette [100K]
First add 7d to both sides:
-22 = 11d
Now divide by 11 both sides
-2 = d

You can work on either side of the equation, I used the right side for the variables because it was easier to add to positive numbers than dealing with negative numbers on the left side:
 -7d -4d = 22
-11d =22
d = -2

either way you get the same answer :)

These 2 questions math 9th thanks! will give brainly!!
denis-greek [22]

Answer:

1)     25+7(n-1)

When the above 'n'(hours) is substituted on the equation, it equals up to the right cost.

2)      Given that n represents the no.of bikes, you just plug it in to the equation below.

250+39(n-1)

= 250+39(20-1)

= 250+39*19

= 250+741

= 991
