Given a 30-60-90 triangle with a long<br> leg of 9 in, determine the length of the<br> hypotenuse.
aniked [119]

Answer:

10.38 in

Step-by-step explanation:

Long side would be opposite to 60°.

Since, side opposite to 60° is root 3 upon 2 times of hypotenuse.

9 =  \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{2} \times hypotenuse \\  \\ hypotenuse =  \frac{9 \times 2}{ \sqrt{3} }  \\  =  \frac{18}{ \sqrt{3} }  =  \frac{18 \sqrt{3} }{3}  = 6 \sqrt{3}  = 6 \times 1.73 \\   \:  \:  \: \red{ \bold{hypotenuse = 10.38 \: in}}

Help last one thanks guys for helping but explain in a way i would understand
Serggg [28]
OK, like I explained in the last one KCF, (Keep Change Flip) so our problem is:
 8/7÷5/8 So lets Keep 8/7 and change the divide sign to multiplication sign. and then for Flip you flip 5/8 to 8/5. So now our real problem is: 8/7*8/5= (8*8=64) and (7*5=35). So we have 64/35, now you just need to change this improper fraction to a proper one... message me if you have any trouble :)
