For number 7 since the rational number is countable, and the set of real numbers is uncountable, almost all real numbers are irrational. So you should choose false

8 yes! All whole numbers are integers. For an example 0 is a whole number, 0 Is ALSO a integer. So you should choose truth

7. False. Since the set of rational numbers is countable, and the set or real numbers is uncountable, almost all real numbers are irrational.
8.true. All whole numbers are integers, so since 0 is a whole number, 0 is also an integer

What is the surface area of the cylinder with height 4 mi and radius 3 mi? Round your answer to the nearest thousandth.
Norma-Jean [14]

Answer:

The surface area of the cylinder will be "131.88".

Step-by-step explanation:

The given values are:

Height of cylinder,

h = 4 m

Radius of cylinder,

r = 3 m

As we know,

The surface are of cylinder is:

⇒  A_s=2 \pi r(h+r)

On substituting the values, we get

⇒       =2\times 3.14\times 3(4+3)

⇒       =18.84\times 7

⇒       =131.88

I need help on this problem is the answer A
vladimir1956 [14]
Well, I'm not completely sure, because I don't know the formal definition
of "corner" in this work.  It may not be how I picture a 'corner'.

Here's what I can tell you about the choices:

A).  (0, 8)
This is definitely a corner of the feasible region.
It's the point where the first and third constraints cross.
So it's not the answer.

B).  (3.5, 0)
This is ON the boundary line between the feasible and non-feasible
regions. But it's not a point where two of the constraints cross, so
to me, it's not what I would call a 'corner'.

C).  (8, 0)
Definitely not a corner, no matter how you define a 'corner'.
This point is deep inside the non-feasible zone, and it doesn't
touch any point in the feasible zone.
So tome, this looks like probably the best answer.

D).  (5, 3)
This is definitely a corner.  It's the point of intersection (the solution)
of the two equations that are the first two constraints.

The feasible region is a triangle.
The three vertices of the triangle are  (0,8) (choice-A),
(0,-7) (not a choice),  and  (5,3) (choice-D) .
region is a triangle

The image of the point (4, -9) under a translation is (9, -14). Find the coordinates
lilavasa [31]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  (-4, -13)

Step-by-step explanation:

When the translation (T) is added, the image is formed.

  (4, -9) +T = (9, -14)

  T = (9, -14) -(4, -9) = (9-4, -14-(-9)) = (5, -5)

The same holds for the second point:

  (-9, -8) +T = (-9, -8) +(5, -5) = (-9 +5, -8 -5) = (-4, -13)

The image of the second point under the same translation is (-4, -13).
