I recently got a piece of little sliced but stuck in my throat and felt like it was still in there, I drank a ton of water, drin

ks, coke, yogurt, milk, ate food, ate bread and etc and I still have a weird feeling
I also have been touching it and trying to cough it up all day and tried to even make myself throw it up.

My breathing is fine, I can swallow my food fine, and everything else is fine but I just feel a discomfort around my throat area!

Please help!

Answer:

You prepare the food to be swallowed by chewing it. This process allows the food to mix with saliva, and transforms it into a moistened puree

Explanation:

Your swallowing reflex is triggered as your tongue pushes the food to the back of your throat. During this phase, your windpipe closes tightly and your breathing stops. This prevents food from going down the wrong pipe.
