4x+3y=7
3x-2y=9

12x+9y=21
12x-8y=36
^^Multiply top equation by 3 and multiply bottom equation by 4

12x+9y=36
- 12x-8y=36

17y=-15
^^Then subtract those two new equations

17y/17= -15/17

Y= -0.88
^^Next divide both sides by 17

4x+3* -0.88=7

4x + (-2.64) =7
-(-2.64) -(-2.64)

4x = 9.64

4x/4=9.64/4
X=2.41

^^then choose on equation and put your new y in the y spot and solve.

X=2.41

Y=-0.88

Your point/coordinate is (2.41,-.88)

An acre measures 4840 square yards. In a city, a lot on which a single-
belka [17]

The lot is <u>9.2% of the an acre.</u>

<u>Given:</u>

Area of an acre = 4840 sq. yards

Area of lot = 40 by 100 ft = 40 ]\times 100 = 4,000 $ ft^{2}

Convert the area of the lot to feet (9 ft^{2} = yd^{2}):

<em>Therefore:</em>

Area of lot = \frac{4,000}{9} = 444.4 $ yd^{2}

Percentage occupied by the lot = area of lot / area of acre x 100

= \frac{444.4}{4840} \times 100\\\= 9.2

The lot therefore is <u>9.2% of the an acre</u>.

When Kimchi is made, it is initially fermented for the first 3 days at a temperature of 70 degrees Fahrenheit and then immediate
svet-max [94.6K]

The given temperatures of 70 °F, 50 °F, and 35 °F, at the given 3, 3, and

6 days give the following step function;

\begin{cases}f(x) = 70^{\circ }  & \text{ if } 0 \leq x \leq 3 \\f(x) = 50^{\circ} & \text{ if } 3 < x \leq 6 \\ f(x) = 35^{\circ }& \text{ if } 6 < x \leq 12 \end{cases}

  • Please find attached the graph of the step function?

<h3>How can the step function be written?</h3>

The temperature at it is fermented in the first three days = 70 °F

From day 3 to 6 the temperature = 50 °F

From day 6 to day 12, the temperature at which it is kept in the freezer = 35 °F

The step function is therefore;

\begin{cases}f(x) = 70^{\circ }  & \text{ if } 0 \leq x \leq 3 \\f(x) = 50^{\circ} & \text{ if } 3 < x \leq 6 \\ f(x) = 35^{\circ }& \text{ if } 6 < x \leq 12 \end{cases}

The graph of the above function created with MS Excel is attached
