They were resolved by three major compromises: Great Compromise, the Three-Fifths Compromise, and the Electoral College. The Great Compromise settled matters of representation in the federal government. Three-Fifths and Electoral College in regards to slave population/voting.

It was a civil rights movement during which African Americans protested segregation by not riding buses and was sparked by Rosa Parks' refusal to move her seat only 4 days beforehand.
