Ions can have a positive or negative charge. Please select the best answer from the choices provided T F
mixas84 [53]

From among the choices provided, the more appropriate
answer is ' T ', the initial letter often used to represent
words that include 'true', 'truth', 'trust', etc., (as well as
'tree', 'train', 'transmit', 'Transylvania', 'trachea', 'travesty',
and 'trick', which are irrelevant to the present discussion).

This response is the most fitting and appropriate, because
the statement that precedes the list of allowable choices is
exemplary in its accuracy and veracity.  An ion can, in fact,
have a positive or negative charge, although the same ion
cannot have both.

A spring with spring constant 13.1 N/m hangs from the ceiling. A ball is suspended from the spring and allowed to come to rest.
Alenkinab [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

spring constant, K = 13.1 N/m

22 oscillations in 20 seconds

time taken to complete one oscillation is called time period.

T = 20 / 22 second = 0.909 seconds

(a) let m be the mass.

The formula for the time period is

T = 2\pi \sqrt{\frac{m}{K}}

m = \frac{T^{2}K}{4\pi ^{2}}

m = \frac{0.909^{2}\times 13.1}{4\pi ^{2}}

m = 0.275 kg

(b) maximum speed, v = ω A = 2π A / T

v = ( 2 x 31.4 x 0.1) / 0.909

v = 0.691 m/s

What is the simplest relationship between the angular wavenumber k and just one of the other kinematic variables?
Inessa [10]

Answer : k=\dfrac{\omega}{k}

Explanation :

The word kinematics means the study of motion. Kinematic variables gives the description of the motion of the body.

Displacement, Velocity, acceleration and time are associated with the motion of particle.

Wavenumber is defined as the frequency of wave, which is measured in cycles per unit distance.

Wave number is also defines as:

k=\dfrac{2\pi}{\lambda}

where, \lambda is wavelength

k=\dfrac{2\pi}{\lambda}\times \dfrac{T}{T}

since, \dfrac{2\pi}{T}=\omega \ and\ \dfrac{1}{V}=\dfrac{T}{\lambda}

So, k=\dfrac{\omega}{V}

Where, \omega is angular frequency and V is velocity of wave.

Hence, the  relationship between the angular wavenumber k and and kinamatic variable V is

k=\dfrac{\omega}{V}

A trailer truck with a 2000 [kg] cab and a 8000 [kg] trailer is traveling on a level road at 90 [km/hr].The brakes on the traile
NeX [460]

Answer:

a)   t = 19.6 s, b) fr = 1.274 10⁴ N

Explanation:

This is a Newton's second law problem

Y Axis

for the cabin

        N₁-W₁ = 0

        N₁ = W₁

for the trailer

        N₂- W₂ = 0

        N₂ = W₂

X axis

for the cabin plus trailer, where friction is only in the cabin

         fr = (m₁ + m₂) a

the friction force equation is

        fr = μ N

we substitute

       μ N₁ = (m₁ + m₂) a

        μ m₁ g = (m₁ + m₂) a

        a = μ g    \frac{m_1}{m_1 + m_2}

let's calculate

         a = 0.65 9.8    \frac{2000}{2000+8000}

         a = 1,274 m / s²

a) to find the stopping distance we can use kinematics

         Let's slow down the sI system

         v₀ = 90 km / h (1000 m / 1km) (1h / 3600s) = 25 m / s

         v = v₀ - a t

when it is stopped its speed is zero

           0 = v₀ - at

           t = v₀ / a

           t = 25 / 1.274

           t = 19.6 s

b) the friction force is

           fr = 0.65 2000 9.8

          fr = 1.274 10⁴ N

This is the braking force and also the forces that couple the cars.
