What role do the media play in health?
IRINA_888 [86]
It plays a a role in our mental health which in then effects our physical health.
If a person gives the media too much power over themselves, then it can in turn make them feel certain ways.
For instance take social media, how we are perceived in the world matters a lot to people. Issues like how we look what filter to use. If someone gets a mean comment or gets less likes then another person, they begin to feel depressed.
Depression can then lead to things like not wanting to sleep or eat. This would then affect our physical health because we are not providing what our bodies need.
Let’s say however someone who is depressed gets the nicest comment from someone they know. What depressed feelings they have begin to fade away and they start down the path towards joy.
Hope this helps
