The distance that Harold swim in 5 hours should be 16 km.

Given that,

  • Harold swam 6 2 ÷ 5 km in 2 hours.
  • And, the number of hours given is 5 hours.

Here we assume the distance be x

So,

6\frac{2}{5} =6.4

Now

\frac{6.4}{2}=\frac{X}{5}

2x=(6.4)(5)

2x=32

Now Divide by 2 on both sides

Thus,

X=16 km

Therefore, we can conclude that the distance that Harold swim in 5 hours should be 16 km.

Ms. Chen is planning to take her camp group on a field trip to Pottery Bayou where each person will create her own piece of art
Anna35 [415]

Answer:

The equation that shows the total cost of the regular price with x people is C=16x.

The equation that shows the total cost of the special price with x people is C=54+10x.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the number of people in the group and C be the total cost.

1. If the regular cost is $16 per person, then Ms. Chen will pay the regular price $16x for the group. Thus, the equation that shows the total cost of the regular price with x people is C=16x.

2. If there is a group special cost $10 per person with an additional $54 fee for a private room, then Ms. Chen will pay special price $(54+10x) for the group. Thus, the equation that shows the total cost of the special price with x people is C=54+10x.
