The reason that the medical model is so important in understanding mental illnesses is because it is the model that...?
devlian [24]

The medical model's school of thought is that mental disorders are believed to be the product of physiological factors. Simply stated, the medical model treats mental disorders as physical diseases whereby medication is often used in treatment.

When it comes to mental illness, the medical model, which is more widely used by psychiatrists than psychologists, treats these disorders in the same way as a broken leg.

However, there are many schools of thought about the medical model in the psychiatry world. Supporters of the medical model usually consider symptoms to be telltale signs of the inner physical disorder and believe that if symptoms are connected, it can be characterized as a syndrome.

Hope this helps!

Is chickenpox a live or dead virus explain what happens in the body?
Dvinal [7]
Viruses are dead, or nonliving because they cannot be classified as a living organism, however, viruses can evolve or change very quickly, so quickly that doctors have no idea how many viruses there are in the world. in the case of Chicken Pox, the virus causes your skin to develop itchy spots all over your body. While your body will fight the virus, there is no way to kill it, the virus will instead evolve and stay dormant in the body. When triggered by some kind of stimuli, the virus will become active again in the form of shingles, a burning rash instead of itchy spots.

Vaccines made to prevent these types of diseases are made from the weakened form of the virus (called live virus)

I'm not sure if this helps you but :)
