Answer: They are similar in that when you multiply 2 fractions, you merely multiply the numerators together and the denominators together  they are different in that a division still remains once the multiplication is completed.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

More than anything else, Algebra is a procedure. It has rules and axioms which when followed produce answers to problems -- problems that may not yield anything without Algebra.

These axioms and rules are familiar to anyone who has taken a course in advanced Mathematics. So each person who knows the procedure knows also how mathematics can work. It is a universal language spoken by those trained in what it offers to the education of both the "sender" and the "receiver."

I thought of a two-digit number. The unit digit of my number is a prime number, and the tens digit is four times as big as the u
sergiy2304 [10]
<h3>Answer:  82</h3>

====================================================

Explanation:

Let A be the tens digit and B be the units digit

We can write the number as AB. So if A = 9 and B = 2 for instance, then the number is AB = 92. Keep in mind I'm not multiplying A and B here.

"The unit digit is a prime" means B could be any of these values {2,3,5,7}. We only list the single digit primes. The value 1 is not prime.

Now multiply each of those items by 4

4*2 = 8

4*3 = 12

4*5 = 20

4*7 = 28

Of those results, only 4*2 = 8 leads to a single digit answer.

This must mean that A = 8 and B = 2

Therefore the number is AB = 82.

2 planes leave the airport at the same time. their speeds are 140 mph and 170 mph and the angle between their courses is 25 degr
Damm [24]

Answer:

183.27miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Note that we are considering two planes.

Plane 1

Speed = 140 mph

Time = 2.5 hours

Distance = ?

Speed = distance/time

140 mph = distance/2.5hrs

Distance = 140×2.5

= 350miles

Plane 2

Speed = 170 mph

Time = 2.5 hours

Distance = ?

Speed = distance/time

170 mph = distance/2.5hrs

Distance = 170×2.5

= 425miles

The angle between side is 25 degree

From cosine rule

c^2 = a^2 + b^2 − 2abcos(tetha)

Where a = 350

b = 425miles

c^2 = 350^2+425^2-2(350×425)(cos25)

c^2 = 122500+180625-297500(0.906)

c^2 = 303125-269535

c^2 = 33590

C = √33590

C = 183.27miles

The distance they flew apart after 2.5hrs is 183.27miles
