There are three major classes of macronutrients: carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins. All three of these nutrients are needed in relatively large amounts AND they contain Calories (note the capital C which indicates kilocalories) which can be "burned" in your body to create energy for your body

Take him out to dinner. maybe wash his car, buy him a new puppy. compliment his shoes, compliment his dad sandals with white socks. tell him yes, his high school letter jacket DOES fit. buy him McDonalds. look deep into his eyes, and say
" if you were a man, you'd get some braces so you don't look like Bugs Bunny..."
Teens can become addicted to prescription, and really any, drugs. They can also do drugs to feel better and “fix” any illnesses they may have. Or they could just want to fit in and experiment and OTC drugs are the easiest to get ahold of.
Going to the doctor/counselor to talk and figure out what’s “wrong” with you are other ways to cope, really talking to anyone would be good. Some teens self harm in other ways besides drug abuse to cope.
