I need to know what formula to use in order to figure out the problems. You do not have to solve, I can do that. I just need a f

Answer:

The equation 4x -6y = 12 is in

"standard" form. if you modify it to be in the "slope intercept" (y=mx+b)

it will be modified to help more easily graph

y= 2/3 x -2 is the same equation in slope intercept (graphing) form...

here you can see that slope (rise over run) is positive and is 2/3 thus it goes from lower left to upper right... the "y-intercept" (the B) is at "-2" thus the line intercepts the y axis at -2

you can find the x and y intercepts by replacing the x with a 0 to get  the y intercept, and then replacing the y with a 0 to get the x intercept

Based on the polynomial remainder theorem, what is the value of the function when x = 4?
ipn [44]

Answer:

124

Step-by-step explanation:

When x=4, substitute 4 into the function to give f(4).

f(4) = (4)^4 - 2(4)^3 + 5(4)^2 -20(4) -4\\f(4) = 256 - 2(64) + 5(16) - 80 -4\\f(4) = 256 -128 + 80 - 80 -4\\f(4) = 128+80-80-4\\f(4) = 208-80-4\\f(4) = 128-4\\f(4) = 124

A stadium has 50,000 seats. Seats in section A cost $30, seats in section B cost $24, and seats in section C cost $18. the numbe
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer:

Section A = 25,000 seats

Section B = 14,600 seats

Section C = 10,400 seats

Step-by-step explanation:

Total Seats = 50,000

Seats in Section A cost = $30

Seats in Section B cost = $24

Seats in Section C cost = $18

Total sales from the event = $1,287,600

No. of Seats in section A = No. seats in Section B + No. seats in Section C

A = B + C

or, 2A = 50,000

A = 25,000 seats @ $30/seat = $750,000

B + C = 25,000

24B + 18C = 537,600

24B + 18(25,000 - B) = 537,600

24B + 450,000 - 18B = 537,600

6B = 87600

B = 14,600

C = 10,400

Hence;

A = 25,000 seats

B = 14,600 seats

C = 10,400 seats

The sum of two polynomials is 8d5 – 3c3d2 + 5c2d3 – 4cd4 + 9. If one addend is 2d5 – c3d2 + 8cd4 + 1, what is the other addend?
Anit [1.1K]

Answer: The correct option is A.

Step-by-step explanation: We are given a polynomial which is a sum of other 2 polynomials.

We are given the resultant polynomial which is : 8d^5-3c^3d^2+5c^2d^3-4cd^4+9

One of the polynomial which are added up is : 2d^5-c^3d^2+8cd^4+1

Let the other polynomial be 'x'

According to the question:

8d^5-3c^3d^2+5c^2d^3-4cd^4+9=x+(2d^5-c^3d^2+8cd^4+1)

x=8d^5-3c^3d^2+5c^2d^3-4cd^4+9-(2d^5-c^3d^2+8cd^4+1)

Solving the like terms in above equation we get:

x=(8d^5-2d^5)+(-3c^3d^2+c^3d^2)+(5c^2d^3)+(-4cd^4-8cd^4)+(9-1)

x=6d^5-2c^3d^2+5c^2d^3-12cd^4+8

Hence, the correct option is A.
