Matching each hazardous waste with its description is shown below :

Hazardous waste description

Asbestos : substance known to cause lung cancer; found in older landfills

Mercury : Substance found in computer monitors that causes brain damage

Cadmium: Hazardous cancer agent found in the batteries of many devices

Lead : Substance from thermostats known to cause reproductive issues

Too much exposure to these hazardous waste always leave a negative effect on the health of individuals, Asbestos are used in the roofing of older buildings and can be found in older landfills. the fiber from asbestos affects the Lungs ( alveoli ) of humans which might lead to lung cancer.

Mercury are used for PC's backlight and also in the mother board of modern computers too much exposure to mercury can lead to brain damage.

Cadmium are hazardous cancer causing agent used in making industrial batteries, prolonged exposure to lead poses several health risk which includes reproductive issues because lead can cut across placenta barrier between a pregnant woman and unborn child.

Hence we can conclude that matching each waste to its description is as

Asbestos : substance known to cause lung cancer; found in older landfills

Mercury : Substance found in computer monitors that causes brain damage

Cadmium: Hazardous cancer agent found in the batteries of many devices
