Answer: Length = 70 feet

Concept:

Here, we need to know how to find the perimeter of a rectangle.

Perimeter (rectangle) = 2 (l + w)

l = length

w = width

Solve:

<u>Given information</u>

l = l

w = 51 feet

P = 242 feet

<u>Given expression</u>

P = 2 (l + w)

<u>Substitute values into the expression</u>

242 = 2 (l + 51)

<u>Divide 2 on both sides</u>

242 / 2 = 2 (l + 51) / 2

121 = l + 51

<u>Subtract 51 on both sides</u>

121 - 51 = l + 51 - 51

\boxed{l=70}

Hope this helps!! :)

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

sin(A) =   k/c

sin(C) =   k/a

Discussion:

By definition of sine ,

sin(A) = side opposite angle / hypotenuse  =  k/c

sin(C) = side opposite angle/ hypotenuse =  k/a

Added remark:

From the first equation, k = c sin(A). From the second equation k = asin(C). Hence.

asin(C) = csin(A)                => divide both sides by "ac"

sin(C)/ c = sin(A)/a

Which is the law of sines for a triangle.

Thank you,

Answer:

x = -8

Step-by-step explanation:

3(x+1)+11=-2(x+13)

3x+3+11=-2x-26

3x+14=-2x-26

Solve the following system of equations by the substitution method.
ruslelena [56]
5x = y + 6 (I)
2x - 3y = 4 (II)
-------------------
We have:
5x = y + 6 → x =  \frac{y+6}{5}

Soon:
2x - 3y = 4 → 2* (\frac{y+6}{5}) - 3y = 4\to \frac{2y+12}{5} - 3y = 4
<span>least common multiple (5)
</span>\frac{2y+12}{5} - 3y = 4\to \frac{2y+12}{\diagup\!\!\!\!\!5} - \frac{15y}{\diagup\!\!\!\!\!5} = \frac{20}{\diagup\!\!\!\!\!5}
2y + 12 - 15y = 20
- 15y + 2y = 20 - 12
- 13y = 8
\boxed{\boxed{y = - \frac{8}{13} }}\end{array}}\qquad\quad\checkmark
