2x^2+12x+1 write the equation in vertex form show work
Ostrovityanka [42]

Answer:

y = 2(x+3)^2 - 17

Step-by-step explanation:

y = 2x^2+12x+1

y = 2(x^2+6x) + 1

y = 2(x^2+6x+9) + 1 - 2(9)

y = 2(x+3)^2 - 17

How do I do this ? & how do I solve it for X&Y
soldier1979 [14.2K]
Simple....

you have:

4x+3y≤-12

To solve for X or Y just isolate the variable....

4x+3y≤-12
    -3y    -3y

4x≤-3y-12

Now divide by 4....

\frac{4x}{4}  \leq  \frac{-3y-12}{4}

x \leq  -\frac{3y}{4} -3

Now for y:

4x+3y≤-12

4x+3y≤-12
-4x          -4x

3y≤-4x-12

Divide by 3...

\frac{3y}{3}  \leq  \frac{-4x-12}{3}

y \leq  -\frac{4x}{3} -4

This is the way to solve it.

Thus, your answer.

Answer the following 13,10,7,4,...what is its explicit equation
Studentka2010 [4]

This is an arithmetic sequence.

The numbers differ by a constant.

The general form of an arithmetic sequence is:

a_n=a+(n-1)d

Where

a is first term

n is nth term

d is the common difference

Looking at the sequence, we can say the common difference is -3 [since 3 is subtracted from a term to get the next term]

Also, first term is 13

Now, we plug into formula:

\begin{gathered} a_n=a+(n-1)d \\ a_n=13+(n-1)(-3) \\ a_n=13-3n+3_{} \\ a_n=16-3n \end{gathered}
