All of the following apply the third law of motion except: D. taking out ketchup from a bottle

Newton's third law of motion states that for every action there exist an equal but opposite reaction. Thus, Newton's third law of motion is a law that is generally based on action-reaction force pairs.

In Science, action-reaction force pairs make it possible for;

  • Cars to move.
  • Objects being in motion.
  • Fishes to swim.
  • Birds to fly.
  • Kicking a ball.
  • Rowing a banca.
  • Throwing a stone.

However, taking out ketchup from a bottle doesn't involve action-reaction force pairs and as such do not apply the third law of motion except.

In conclusion, taking out ketchup from a bottle apply the first law of motion because the ketchup was static (at rest) until an external force acted upon it, thereby causing it to pour out from the bottle.

An electron moves north at a velocity of 4.5 × 104 m/s and has a magnetic force of 7.2 × 10-18 n exerted on it. if the magnetic
Mice21 [21]

The magnetic force on a moving charge is given by:

F=qvB \sin \theta

where q is the charge, v is the speed of the charge, B is the magnetic field intensity and \theta is the angle between the directions of B and v.

In our problem, the charge is an electron (q=1.6 \cdot 10^{-19}C), the velocity of the charge is v=4.5 \cdot 10^4 m/s, the magnetic force is F=7.2 \cdot 10^{-18} N and the angle between the direction of v and B is \theta=90^{\circ}, so \sin \theta=1 and we can ignore the sine in the formula. Therefore, if we rearrange the equation and we put these numbers in, we can find the intensity of the magnetic field:

B=\frac{F}{qv}=\frac{7.2 \cdot 10^{-18} N}{(1.6 \cdot 10^{-19}C)(4.5 \cdot 10^{-4} m/s)}=0.001 T

The light from Barnard's Star takes about 5.94 years to reach Earth. Which of these statements is correct about Barnard's star?
s344n2d4d5 [400]

Answer:

It is located at a distance of 5.94 light years from Earth.

Explanation:

Since light transmitted from the star takes approximately 5.94 years to reach the earth, it means the star is  located at a distance of 5.94 light years from Earth.

What is impossible for a machine to do?
Art [367]

Answer:

A) do a greater amount of work than the amount of work done on the machine

Explanation:

By the principle of conservation of energy, energy can never be created or destroyed.

To do more work by a machine than the amount of work done on the machine is impossible because to do so machine will have to create energy within itself which violates the principle of conservation of energy.

Extra bit,

These kind of machine are defined as perpetual-motion machines and there are many attempts in history to create one such device but all were failed.
