This becomes 6/(4*11) because 1*6 is 6, and you bring 4 to 11 to get 4*11, this then becomes 44, now you have 6/44, your answer simplifies into 3/22, go further and you get a big decimal like 0.136… etc etc.

Help what do I do do i just write y-3x+5 or solve it
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

y=-3x+5

Step-by-step explanation: Yes you have it correct. The question is asking for you to put it into an equation that fits the slope and y-intercept which is slope-intercept form. Additional note, when you have a problem like this and it doesn't say what type of equation form to put it in, put it in slope-intercept form for simplicity's sake.

Which statement describes the function below f(x)=2x^3-3x+1
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

The given function is f(x)=2x^3+2x^2-x. In this case, the highest degree among the terms is 3. According to the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra, the number of zeros or roots of the equation is equal to the highest degree among the terms. Hence for every value of y, there are 3 equivalent x's. The answer thus is B. It is a many-to-one function.

Find the sum of the equation
stealth61 [152]

Answer:

\frac{{y}^{2}+13y-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

Step-by-step explanation:

1)  Rewrite {y}^{2}-2y+1y  in the form{a}^{2}-2ab+{b}^{2}, where a = y and b = 1.

\frac{y}{{y}^{2}-2(y)(1)+{1}^{2}}+\frac{6}{{y}^{2}+6y-7}

2)  Use Square of Difference: {(a-b)}^{2}={a}^{2}-2ab+{b}^{2}.

\frac{y}{{(y-1)}^{2}}+\frac{6}{{y}^{2}+6y-7}

3)  Factor {y}^{2}+6y-7.

1 - Ask: Which two numbers add up to 6 and multiply to -7?

-1 and 7

2 - Rewrite the expression using the above.

(y-1)(y-7)

Outcome/Result: \frac{y}{(y-1)^2} +\frac{6}{(y-1)(y+7)}

4) Rewrite the expression with a common denominator.

\frac{y(y+7)+6(y-1)}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

5)  Expand.

\frac{{y}^{2}+7y+6y-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

6) Collect like terms.

\frac{{y}^{2}+(7y+6y)-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

7) Simplify  {y}^{2}+(7y+6y)-6y  to  {y}^{2}+13y-6y

\frac{{y}^{2}+13y-6}{{(y-1)}^{2}(y+7)}

Solve the system of linear equations by ellmination. 5x + 9y = -11 3x + 9y = -3 A. (-4,-1) -B. (-1, –4) C. (-4,1) D. (1,-4)
valentina_108 [34]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

5x + 9y = -11

3x + 9y  = -3

5x + 9y = -11

-3x - 9y = 3

2x = -8

x = -4

-12 + 9y = -3

9y = 9

y = 1

(-4, 1)

Answer is C
