This is true. Feeling stress before an examination could be a motivation factor that would cause you to be more focused and your reflexes more sharpened.

Before one gets into an exam, there could be stress or anxiety. This is not always a bad thing.

This stress could be a factor that would motivate the person and make him to study more or do more reviews. This feeling of stress  is also an adrenaline rush that can sharpen the persons reflexes.

A positive effect to this is that it could help you to remember the areas you read while taking the exam.
