you would do your amount of cupcakes multipled by 7/4 which gets you 3.5!

i.e 2 x + 5 y = 16

or, 2 x + 5 × 2 = 16

or, 2 x = 16 - 10

or, 2 x = 6

∴  x = \dfrac{6}{2}

i.e x = $3
