Hey! So you are going to find the coordinates of P and R
P is (4,0) R is (-6,-4)
Then you can plug it into this formula: (x1-x2)^2 + (y1-y2)^2
Using P and R coordinates that’s:
(4- -6)^2 + (0- -4)^2
10^2 + 4^2
100 + 16=
116
Then you are going to find the square root
So 116 square root is 10.8 rounding to the nearest tenth
Hope this helps!

Nataliya [291]

Answer: x = 69

Step-by-step explanation:

X-18+ (24-3 )=72

solve the brackets

x-18 + 21 =72

cllect like terms

x = 72-21+18

x = 69.

adam drew 2 same size rectangles and divided them into the same number of equal part. he shaded 1/3 od one rectangle and 1/4 of
jasenka [17]
I would say that he divided each rectangle in 12 identical parts
for the first rectangle he shaded 1/3 of 12 = 4 parts
for the second rectangle he shaded 1/4 of 12= 3 parts

so 12= 3*4 leads to a minimum of 12 parts

An animal shelter has $2500 in its reserve fund. The shelter charges $40 per animal placement and would like to have at least $4
densk [106]

Answer:

Step 1

Write and solve the inequality:

2,500 + 40a ≥ 4,000, or 40a ≥ 1,500

a ≥ 37.5

Step 2

If the shelter places 30 cats and 10 dogs,

or 40 animals, that will be enough to meet

its goal, because a = 40 is a solution to the

inequality a ≥ 37.5.

You consider yourself a bit of an expert at playing rock-paper-scissors and estimate that the probability that you win any given
cestrela7 [59]

Answer:

a) 0.37

b) 0.421

c) 0.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the probability of winning a game is binomial (P = 0.5) the expected value for number of winning when you play 60 games is

\mu = 60*0.5 = 30

And the standard deviation:

\sigma = 60*0.5*0.5 = 15

a) the cumulative probability of winning at least 35 games is

P(X \geq 35) = 1 - P(X < 35) = 1 - 0.631 = 0.37

b)P(X < 27) = 0.421

c)P(30 \leq X \leq 40) = P(X \leq 40) - P(X \leq 30) = 0.75 - 0.5 = 0.25

Which vector best describes the translation below?
Nimfa-mama [501]

Answer: Choice A) <9,0>

Explanation:

Focus on one of the points in the figure on the left. Let's say we go for the upper left corner point (-7, 4)

Notice it moves to the corresponding image point (2,4). It has shifted 9 units to the right to follow the translation rule (x,y) \to (x+9, y). We've added 9 to the x coordinate, and the y coordinate stays the same.

This notation can be shortened to <9, 0>

In general, the notation (x,y) \to (x+a, y+b) is shortened to the translation vector notation < a, b >. In this case, a = 9 and b = 0.
