The rock layer which marks the end of the dinosaurs is: C. KT Boundary layer.

A rock can be defined as a solid material containing minerals, which are naturally formed through the following processes:

  • Weathering.
  • Plate tectonic activity.
  • Erosion.

Basically, a rock comprises of various layers which marks the age of both living and nonliving organisms, these includes:

I. Burgess Shale layer.

II. Mesozoic Layer.

III. KT Boundary layer.

Dinosaurs refers to a taxa of carnivorous or herbivorous archosaurian reptiles that are often very large and belongs to the Mesozoic era.

Basically, the Mesozoic Layer is a rock layer which marks the period when dinosaurs were still roaming the earth some million years ago.

However, dinosaurs went into extinction at the KT Boundary layer and as such it is a rock layer which marks the end of the dinosaurs.
