The error that was made by Raquel when expressing 304,900,000,000

is that she didn't count the digit correctly, The correct digit is 3 *10^{11}

  • Raquel was trying to express the figure in standard form but she doesn't count the number of digit very well and that was her mistake

  • Standard form helps to represent digits that are very long or short in simple form and fir conveniency sake

Therefore, the correct expression in standard form is 3 * 10^{11}

Determine the coordinates of the point on the unit circle corresponding to the given central angle. If necessary round your resu
Olenka [21]

Answer:

Option A. (-1, 0)

Step-by-step explanation:

In the figure attached,

Circle O is a unit circle (having radius r = 1 unit)

If a point A with central angles = θ, is lying on the circle then the coordinates of the point A will be,

x = r.cosθ

x = 1.cosθ = cosθ

and y = r.sinθ

y = 1.sinθ = sinθ

Therefore, coordinates representing the point A will be (cosθ, sinθ).

As per question the given point A is lying at P (a point having central angle θ = 180°)

Coordinates of point P will be

(x', y') → (cos180°, sin180°)

        → (-1, 0)

Therefore, Option A will be the answer.

12 POINTS
Simplify i38.
i
−1
−i
1
Karolina [17]
Are you sure you've copied down the original problem exactly as given? i38 = 38i can't be simplified. Perhaps you meant i^38, which is a different matter.

Note that i^38 = i^32 * I^4 * I^2.

Note that i^0, i^4, i^8, etc., all equal 1. Therefore,

i^38 = (1)(1)i^2 = 1*(-1) = -1 (answer)
