Okay, so I recognized "Lenore" from Edgar Allen Poe's poem, "The Raven."


The narrator's love, Lenore, died- this is supported by the following contextual evidence:

"From my books surcease of sorrow—sorrow for the lost Lenore—

For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore—

           Nameless here for evermore."
