Answer:

f(x)  =  - 2 {x}^{3}  \\ g(x) = 3x - 5 \\ h(x) = x - 1 \\ g(h(x)) = 3(x - 1) - 5 \\  = 3x - 3 - 5 = 3x - 8 \\ f(g(h(x)) )= - 2 {(3x - 8)}^{3}  \\ f(g(h(3)) )=- 2 {(3(3) - 8)}^{3} \\  =  - 2 {(9 - 8)}^{3}  \\ f(g(h(3)) )=- 2

Write the sum of the numbers as the product of their GCF and another sum.
8090 [49]

Answer:

See explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Find the GCF of 40 and 44:

40=\underline{2\cdot 2}\cdot 2\cdot 5\\ \\44=\underline{2\cdot 2}\cdot 2\cdot 11\\ \\GCF(40,44)=2\cdot 2=4

So,

40+44=4\cdot 10+4\cdot 11=4\cdot (10+11)

2. Find the GCF of 13 and 52:

13=\underline{13}\\ \\52=2\cdot 2\cdot \underline{13}\\ \\GCF(13,52)=13

So,

13+52=13\cdot 1+13\cdot 4=13\cdot (1+4)

3. Find the GCF of 15 and 81:

15=\underline{3}\cdot 5\\ \\81=\underline{3}\cdot 3\cdot 3\cdot 3\\ \\GCF(15,81)=3

So,

15+81=3\cdot 5+3\cdot 27=3\cdot (5+27)

4. Find the GCF of 64 and 28:

64=\underline{2\cdot 2}\cdot 2\cdot 2\cdot 2\cdot 2\\ \\28=\underline{2\cdot 2}\cdot 7\\ \\GCF(64,28)=2\cdot 2=4

So,

64+28=4\cdot 16+4\cdot 7=4\cdot (16+7)

If z varies inversely as w, and z= 3 when w=4, find z when w=2.<br> Z=
vivado [14]

Answer:

6

Step-by-step explanation:

Inverse proportion.

z = k/w

z = 3, w = 4

Solve for k constant.

3 = k/4

(4)3 = (4)k/4

12=k

The value of k constant is 12.

z = k/w

Put w as 2 and k as 12 and solve for z.

z = 12/2

z = 6

The value of z when w equals 2 is 6.

Ugh, more algebra pretending to be geometry.  Why?

This is a pretty awful instance of the genre, with no units on the constant 16, assumed to be degrees.

The total arc measure in a circle is 360 degrees.  Geometry part over.

3m + 16 + 2m + 3m = 360

8m = 344

m = 344/8 = 43

Arc measures:

Arc 3m+16 = 3(43)+16 = 145°.  The angle subtended by that arc is half that, 145/2=72.5°

Arc 2m=2(43)=86°.  The angle subtended is half that, 43°

Arc 3m=3(43)=129°.  The angle subtended is half that, 64.5°
