This annoyed Hercules and exacted revenge against the king. He held Olympic games marking his victory over the king.
In ancient days the representatives from each polis arrived in the great stadion and they had to arrive to the place only by passing through the enemies' lands which was quite challenging for the participants. An Olympic winner was crowned with an olive wreath and his name would be inscribed in the Olympic records in olden days.
