The friction force is equal to the horizontal component of applied force 'p'. This horizontal component of force is pcosθ( θ = angle made by force with horizontal ).
Hence the frictional force is equal to pcosθ.

Answer:

F_f = P cos\theta

Explanation:

Since applied force is at an angle with the horizontal so we can find the two components of the force on it

F_x = P cos\theta

F_y = P sin\theta

now the normal force due to floor is given as

F_n = P sin\theta + W

Also we know that the box is not moving but it remains at rest

so here we can say that friction force due to floor will counterbalance the horizontal applied force on the box

F_x = F_f

F_f = P cos\theta

Sound waves are a longitudinal wave that have a speed of about 340 m/s when traveling through room temperature air. What is the
AlexFokin [52]

The wavelength of the wave is 0.055 m

Explanation:

The relationship between speed, frequency and wavelength of a wave is given by the wave equation:

v=f\lambda

where

v is the speed

f is the frequency

\lambda is the wavelength

For the sound wave in this problem we have

v = 340 m/s is the speed

f = 6,191 Hz is the frequency

Solving for \lambda, we find the wavelength:

\lambda=\frac{v}{f}=\frac{340}{6191}=0.055 m

A wave is traveling through a medium ad it travels it displaces particles of matter in the same direction as the wave is traveli
Tamiku [17]
I think it's longitudinal wave because the particles move parallel to the direction that the wave is traveling.
