The quotation from the text in Olaudah Equiano that makes the best use of strong descriptive language to create an emotional appeal is the stench of the hold while we were on the coast was so intolerably loathsome, that it was dangerous to remain there for any time ... but now that the whole ship's cargo were confined together, it became absolutely pestilential.
In his engaging novel "The Life of Olaudah Equiano," the author reflects on his journey from being a slave to a free man in the 19th century. Olaudah Equiano creates a realistic picture of the horrors and cruelties of European slavery via his experiences and words. Olaudah Equiano's account is ultimately intended to alert the British government to the brutal treatment of slaves as well as encourage them to cease the Atlantic slave trade. By gently presenting points through the use of descriptive language, character, action, and scene, he successfully achieves his aim.
