Explanation:

when a force works in a same direction as a body moves,the entite force acts on the body..... subtract the angle between force and the resulant vector you want to calcuate from 90. if for instance a force acts for 30 degree angle from the object direction of motion then,90-30=60

Two blocks are connected by a massless rope over a massless, frictionless pulley, as shown in the figure. The mass of block 2 is
Agata [3.3K]

The mass of block 1 is 1.30176 kg.

<h3>What is tension in physics?</h3>

A tension force in physics is a force developed in a rope, string, or cable when stretched under an applied force.

Tension is acted along the length of the rope/cable in a direction that is opposite to the force applied on it.

According to the question,

Mass of block 2= 11.3 kg

Kinetic friction μ=0.200

The component of the weight in the direction of the incline

W = m₂gsinθ

T = F_{f}  - W........(1)

When the force of friction

F_{f} = μ_kN

F_{f} = μ_k(m₂gcosθ)

Here , Put the value in equation 1

T = m₂gcos 31.5° - μ_km₂gcos 31.5°

We know that ,

T - m₁g = 0

T = m₁g

So,

m₁g = m₂g (Sin 31.5° - 0.200 x cos 31.5°)

m₁ = 11.3 x (0.0840 - 0.2 x 0.996)

m₁ = 11.3 x (0.1152)

m₁ = 1.30176 kg

Hence, the mass of block 1 is 1.30176 kg.

The average speed of a nitrogen molecule in air is proportional to the square root of the temperature in kelvins (K). If the ave
natita [175]

Answer:

v₂ = 395.83 m/s

Explanation:

given,

Average speed of nitrogen molecule, v₁ = 475 m/s

Temperature in summer, T₁ = 300 K

Average speed of nitrogen molecule in winter, v₂ = ?

Temperature in winter, T₂ = 250 K

The relation of average speed with temperature

          v\ \alpha\ \sqrt{T}

now,

        \dfrac{v_2}{v_1} = \dfrac{\sqrt{T_2}}{\sqrt{T_1}}

        \dfrac{v_2}{475} = \dfrac{\sqrt{250}}{\sqrt{300}}

                     v₂ = 0.833 x 475

                     v₂ = 395.83 m/s

The average speed on a frigid winter day is equal to v₂ = 395.83 m/s
