Price of car in 2009 = $120000

Value decreased by 20 % in 2010

⇒ Price of car in 2010 = $120000  - (20% of $120000)

                                    = $120000 -   ( (20/100) × 120000 )

                                    = $120000 - $24000 = $96000

Value again decreased by 10 % in 2011

⇒ Price of car in 2011= $96000 - (10% of $96000)

                                    = 96000 - ((10/100) × 96000 )

                                    = 96000 - 9600 = $86400

So value of car at end of 2011 is $86400

I hope this is correct.

I hope this helps you and who ever else happens to see this.

Wendy throws a dart at this square shaped target: Part A: is the probability of hitting the black circle inside the target close
KonstantinChe [14]

Since the area of the circle is only 3.14. that means 3.14 out of one hundred units can be hit. so you have a 3.14% chance of hitting the circle in the middle. SO the probability is very close to 0.

100 - 3.14 = 96.86, so we have a 97 percent chance (approximately) of landing in the white space, This is very close to one.

4-inch by 6-inch what is the width of 15 inches for a ratio table
quester [9]

This is a ratio problem; the ratio of the length to width is constant (and therefore equal):

4 /6 = 15 / x

Now, with a ratio, we may do any allowable algebra operation: cross-multiply, invert both sides, multiply or divide both sides by the same amount, etc.

Let's cross-multiply:

4x = (15)(6)

x = 90/4

x = 22.5 in.
