Answer:

P ( snowboard I ski) = 0.5714

Step-by-step explanation:

Conditional Probability

We use the conditional probability formula to solve this question. It is

P(B|A) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(A)}

In which

P(B|A) is the probability of event B happening, given that A happened.

P(A \cap B) is the probability of both A and B happening.

P(A) is the probability of A happening.

In this question:

Event A: Ski

Event B: Snowboard.

28 out of 120 students ski:

This means that P(A) = \frac{28}{120} = 0.2333

16 out of 120 do both:

This means that P(A \cap B) = \frac{16}{120} = 0.1333

P ( snowboard I ski)

P(B|A) = \frac{P(A \cap B)}{P(A)} = \frac{0.1333}{0.2333} = 0.5714

So

P ( snowboard I ski) = 0.5714

Please help me find the length width and area
Lisa [10]
I would say that the length would be 2 inches, the width to be 6 feet and the area to be 144. I would say this because in order to find the area, you would need to convert 6 feet into inches. There are 12 inches in a foot. So it would be 72 inches. In order to find area you multiply the length by the width. So it would be 72 time 2, this is equal to 144. Hope this helps :)

⚫We have to find out the value of 1 \frac{2}{3} \div 6

⚫So we have to convert it like this first,

\frac{5}{3} \div 6

⚫Do reciprocal to change the sign of divide into multiply

\frac{5}{3} \times \frac{1}{6}

⚫By doing this, we will get

\frac{6}{18}

Simplify this,

\frac{1}{3}

⚫⚫So our answer will be \frac{1}{3}

How do i use the decimals 2.47,9.57,and 7.1 to write two different addition facts and two different subtraction facts?
VARVARA [1.3K]

<u>Answers</u>

2.47 + 7.1 = 9.57

7.1 + 2.47 = 9.57

9.57 - 2.47 = 7.1

9.57 - 7.1 = 2.47

<u>Explanation</u>

A fact family is a group of math facts using the same numbers.  In the case of addition/subtraction, you use three numbers and get four facts.

In this case we are going to write two different addition facts and two different subtraction facts as follows:

2.47,9.57,and 7.1

<em><u>Addition facts</u></em>

2.47 + 7.1 = 9.57

7.1 + 2.47 = 9.57

<em><u>Subtraction</u></em>

9.57 - 2.47 = 7.1

9.57 - 7.1 = 2.47
