Binary ionic compounds are named in what pattern?
leva [86]

Answer: The correct answer is option a.

Explanation: Binary ionic compounds are the compounds made up of two ions, one is cation which is metal and another is anion which is a non-metal.

Rules for the naming of Binary Ionic compound.

1. First write the full name of cation.

2. The anion is named after using the suffix '-ide'. For example: If the anion is bromine, the name will be bromide and so on.

3. If the metal atom is Transition element, then the roman numeral is included after the metal name to indicate the oxidation number of the metal.

So, in order to write the name of Binary Ionic Compound, we first write metal followed by non-metal. Hence, the correct option is option a.

Why is co2 so bad for our bodies and why do we need to remove it? In the context of protons and ions acid/base solution.
dezoksy [38]
Hopefully this is correct and I believe CO2 is bad because the cells in the body need oxygen to then release energy from food efficiently by carrying out aerobic respiration. And a waste product of aerobic respiration is Carbon Dioxide. And Carbon dioxide must be removed from our bodies or it them makes the blood dangerously acidic.

Hope this helps :)

What is the molarity of a solution of 0.2 moles of Potassium Oxide
egoroff_w [7]

The molarity of a solution : 0.4 M

Further explanation

Given

0.2 moles of Potassium Oxide

500 ml of water = 0.5 L

Required

The molarity

Solution

Molarity is a way to express the concentration of the solution

Molarity shows the number of moles of solute in every 1 liter of solution or mmol in each ml of solution

\large{\boxed {\bold {M ~ = ~ \frac {n} {V}}}

Assume volume of solution = volume of water(addition of solution volume from volume Potassium Oxide is negligible

Input the value :

M = 0.2 : 0.5

M = 0.4
