Part E State your conclusion in the form of a theorem and then prove the theorem using a two column proof. when you write the p

roof refer to the diagram you created in part A. It will be helpful to use point labels to state what is given and what you have to prove and to use those labels throughout the proof. As part of the proof you’ll have to construct a line segment connecting the top intersection point one one of the transversal‘s with the lowest intersection point of the other transversal dust forming two triangles. Take a screenshot of the construction save it and insert the image in the space below before you begin writing your proof.

The area of the shaded region is $8(\pi \ -\sqrt{3})\ \text{cm}^2.

Solution:

Given radius = 4 cm

Diameter = 2 × 4 = 8 cm

Let us first find the area of the semi-circle.

Area of the semi-circle = \frac{1}{2}\times \pi r^2

                                      $=\frac{1}{2}\times \pi\times 4^2

                                      $=\frac{1}{2}\times \pi\times 16

Area of the semi-circle = $8\pi cm²

Angle in a semi-circle is always 90º.

∠C = 90°

So, ABC is a right angled triangle.

Using Pythagoras theorem, we can find base of the triangle.

AC^2+BC^2=AB^2

AC^2+4^2=8^2

AC^2=64-16

AC^2=48

AC=4\sqrt{3} cm

Base of the triangle ABC = 4\sqrt{3} cm

Height of the triangle = 4 cm

Area of the triangle ABC = \frac{1}{2}\times b \times h

                                          $=\frac{1}{2}\times 4\sqrt{3}  \times 4

Area of the triangle ABC =  8\sqrt{3} cm²

Area of the shaded region

                   = Area of the semi-circle – Area of the triangle ABC

                   = $8\pi \ \text{cm}^2-8\sqrt{3}\ \text{cm}^2

                   = $8(\pi \ -\sqrt{3})\ \text{cm}^2

Hence the area of the shaded region is $8(\pi \ -\sqrt{3})\ \text{cm}^2.

Evaluate the following function over the domain {0,1,2,3}. What is the range? g (x) = -2x^{2} + 2
Alexus [3.1K]

Answer:

the range= {-16, -6, 0, 2}

Step-by-step explanation:

domain={0,1,2,3}

g(x)= -2x^{2} + 2

g(0)= -2(0)^{2} + 2 =2

g(1)= -2(1)^{2} + 2 =0

g(2)= -2(2)^{2} + 2= -6

g(3)= -2(3)^{2}+ 2= -16

the range = {-16, -6, 0, 2}

Between which pair of numbers is the exact product of 379 and 8?
jeka94
The "product" of 2 number is multiplication, so all you need to do is multiply the numbers, then you should be able to do the rest.
379 X 8= 3032

Serjik [45]

Answer: 17 9/11

Step-by-step explanation:  5.5/3.5 = 28/x

3.5 * 28 = 98 / 5.5 = 17 9/11
