Why did the allies hold war crimes trials for axis leaders? where were they held and why do you think it was important to hold t
Irina18 [472]
Punish for aggressive acts--the trials were an international means of punishing those involved in violent and unjust acts leading to and during World War II.

German trials in Nuremberg, Germany and Japanese trials in Tokyo, Japan.

Holding the trials in the countries of the Axis Powers demonstrated the power of the Allies over the defeated countries, but also put the leadership on display in their home countries to work as a deterrent for supporters of the defeated governments.

Who is Benjamin franklin? What did he do? And why is he on the 100 dollar bill?
Andrei [34K]
Benjamin Franklin is one of the founding fathers of America. He was an unofficial representative of America in the parliament until he was framed for the Boston tea party. Afterwards he became one of the most devoted patriots. He owned a newspaper called the Pennsylvania gazette in which he kept the public informed and enthusiastic about freedom. He was also an inventor. His electric rod saved many houses from becoming victims of lightning fires. He is on the 100th dollar bill because he was admired and followed. And why not have a founding father on the 100 dollar bill?
