Step-by-step explanation:

the lengths OB, OC & BC together forms a isosceles triangle.

therefore,

OB=OC

3x+4=x+8

2x=4

x=2.

OB = 3x+4= 3.2+4=10cm.

OC= x+8= 2+8=10cm.

therefore, the diagonals are : 20cm each.

hope this helps you.

mamaluj [8]

Answer:

Mean = 35

Variance = 291.7

Step-by-step explanation:

Data provided in the question:

X : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6

All the data are independent

Thus,

The mean for this case will be given as:

Mean, E[X] = \frac{\textup{Sum of all the observations}}{\textup{Total number of observations}}

or

 E[X] = \frac{\textup{1+2+3+4+5+6}}{\textup{6}}

or

E[X] = 3.5

For 10 days, Mean = 3.5 × 10 = 35

And,

variance = E[X²] - ( E[X] )²

Now, for this case of independent value,

E[X²] = \frac{1^2+2^2+3^2+4^2+5^2+6^2}{\textup{6}}

or

E[X²] = \frac{1+4+9+16+25+36}{\textup{6}}

or

E[X²] = \frac{91}{\textup{6}}

or

E[X²] = 15.167

Therefore,

variance = E[X²] - ( E[X] )²

or

variance = 15.167 - 3.5²

or

Variance = 2.917

For 10 days = Variance × Days²

= 2.917 × 10²

= 291.7

Select the graph for the solution of the open sentence. Click until the correct graph appears. |x| > 1
Lisa [10]

Answer:

See attachment

Step-by-step explanation:

The given inequality is |x|>1

By the definition of the absolute value function, we obtain the compound inequality.

-x>1\:or\:x>1

When we simplify we get:

x1

The graph for the solution set is shown in the attachment

A 2800 gallon swimming pool is being fr
Nimfa-mama [501]

The pool is drained at 700 gallon per hour , so you need to multiply the number of hours ( t) by 700 to find the total number of gallons after a certain amount of hours, this would be written as 700t.

You would then need to subtract that amount from the starting value of 28,000.

This would make the equation g = 28,000 - 700t.
