The measure of an angle is 83°. What is the measure of its complementary angle?
laiz [17]

Hello! Your answer is 7 degrees.

A set of complementary angles are ones which, when their measurements are added, will equal up to 90 degrees. For example, the complementary angle of a 80 degree angle would be 10 degrees. A supplementary angle also falls in the same category, however it is adding up to 180 degrees. The way I remember which one is which is that <u>c comes first in the alphabet, and 90 degrees comes before 180 degrees.</u>

Applying that knowledge, 83 plus the complementary angle must equal 90. 83 + 7 = 90, therefore, the complementary angle measures 7 degrees.

Hope this helps!

When the factors of a trinomial are (x+p) and (x-q) then the coeffcient of the x term in the trinomial is?
Tatiana [17]
The coefficient is:  "1" .
____________________________________________________
          Note:  There is an "<u>implied coefficient</u>" of "1"; since "1",  multiplied by any value, is equal to that exact same value; by convention, we eliminate the "1" as a coefficient.
____________________________________
Further explanation:
____________________________________
(x+p)(x−q) = x² − xq + px − pq ;
____________________________________

(x+p)(x−q) =  {using "FOIL" → "First, Outer, Inner, and Last" terms}:

<u>F</u>irst:    x*x = x² ;

<u>O</u>uter: x*(-q)= -xq ;

<u>I</u>nner:  p*x = px ;

<u>L</u>ast:   p*(-q) = -pq

  (x + p)(x − q) = x² − xq + px − pq .

Suppose f(x)= x^2 fins the graph of f(x-1)
Gennadij [26K]
F(x)=x2,

g(x)=f(3x)=(3x)2=9x2

Now to graph y=9x2. This is a parabola (U-shape), vertex at (0, 0), symmetric aroung y  axis. When x=1/3 or -1/3, then y=1.

So, try to draw the graph.
