a uniform metre rule of mass 100g balances at the 40cm mark when a mass X is placed at the 10cm mark what is the value of x.pls

Answer:

The fulcrum of the metre stick is at the 40 cm mark

100 g * 10 cm = 1000 g-cm clockwise torque

x * 30 cm = 1000 gm-cm = counterclockwise torque for balance

X = 1000 / (40 -10) = 1000 / 30 = 33.3 gm  at 10 cm to balance

A body-centered cubic lattice has a lattice constant of 4.83 Ă. A plane cutting the lattice has intercepts of 9.66 Å, 19.32 Å, a
anastassius [24]

Answer:

Miller Indices are [2, 4, 3]

Solution:

As per the question:

Lattice Constant, C = 4.83 \AA

Intercepts along the three axes:

\bar{x} = 9.66 \AA

\bar{x} = 19.32 \AA

\bar{x} = 14.49 \AA

Now,

Miller Indices gives the vector representation of the atomic plane orientation in the lattice and are found by taking the reciprocal of the intercepts.

Now, for the Miller Indices along the three axes:

a = \frac{1}{9.66}

b = \frac{1}{19.32}

c = \frac{1}{14.49}

To find the Miller indices, we divide a, b and c by reciprocal of lattice constant 'C' respectively:

a' = \frac{\frac{1}{9.66}}{\frac{1}{4.83}} = \frac{1}{2}

b' = \frac{\frac{1}{19.32}}{\frac{1}{4.83}} = \frac{1}{4}

c' = \frac{\frac{1}{14.49}}{\frac{1}{4.83}} = \frac{1}{3}

The tires of a car make 77 revolutions as the car reduces its speed uniformly from 95.0 km/h to 65.0 km/h. The tires have a diam
nika2105 [10]

Answer:

Explanation:

95.0 km/hr = 26.39 m/s

65 km/hr = 18.06 m/s

Circumference of a tire is 0.9π m

77 revolutions is a distance of

77(0.9π) = 69.3π m

v² = u² + 2as

a = (v² - u²) / 2s

a = (18.06² - 26.39²) / (2(69.3π))

a = -0.85 m/s²

s = (v² - u²) / 2a

s = (0² - 26.39²) / 2(-0.85)

s = 409 m
