A. This is a what YOU think... how do YOU see it. to me, it looks like it lays down on its left side ... it spun to the left or rotated 90 degrees to the left (of course it could have rotated 270 degrees to the right)
B. Good job
C. Look at your answers in part B. (Ignore the third one until you think you have it. ). What happens? X goes to y and y goes to x? So the rule is (x,y) —> ( y, x)? No. The y changes signs... so ( -y, x)
D. What we just said in words in part C: the x & y switch places and the y changes signs. More “math-ey” sounding: the variables reverse and the y is multiplied by -1

A softball pitcher has a 0.675 probability of throwing a strike for each pitch and a 0.325 probability of throwing a ball. If th
Dafna11 [192]

Answer:

The probability that exactly 19 of them are strikes is 0.1504

Step-by-step explanation:

The binomial probability parameters given are;

The probability that the pitcher throwing a strike, p = 0.675

The probability that the pitcher throwing a ball. q = 0.325

The binomial probability is given as follows;

p(x) = _{n}C_{x}\cdot p^{x}\cdot q^{1-x}

Where:

x = Required probability

Therefore, the probability that the pitcher throws 19 strikes out of 29 pitches is found as follows;

The probability that exactly 19 of them are strikes is given as follows;

\binom{29}{19}(0.675)^{19}0.325^{10} = \frac{29!}{19!\times 10!}\times (0.675)^{19}\times 0.325^{10} = 0.1504

Hence the probability that exactly 19 of them are strikes = 0.1504

If (x + 2 ) is a factor of x3 − 6x2 + kx + 10, k =
BartSMP [9]
If a binomial x-a is a factor of a polynomial p(x), then p(a)=0.

x+2 is a factor of p(x)=x³-6x²+kx+10, so p(-2)=0.

p(-2)=0 \\
(-2)^3 - 6 \times (-2)^2 + k \times (-2) + 10=0 \\
-8-6 \times 4-2k+10=0 \\
-8-24-2k+10=0 \\
-2k-22=0 \\
-2k=22 \\
k=\frac{22}{-2} \\
\boxed{k=-11}

What does rotation do to the pre image of o create it’s image?
olga2289 [7]
The general rule for rotation of an object 90 degrees is (x, y) --------> (-y, x). You can use this rule to rotate a pre-image by taking the points of each vertex, translating them according to the rule, and drawing the image
