Answer:

A.3.  x = 72°    y = 90°

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of the interior angles in a polygon is (n-2)*180, where n is the number of angles. In this diagram, we have:

Hexagon n=6):  (6-2)*180° = 720°

Pentagon (n=5):  (5-2)*180° = 540°

Triangle (n=3):  (3-2)*180° = 180°

Square (n=4):     (4-2)*180° = 360°

In this case, all are either regular or equilateral, so the angles will all be the same within each polygon.

Hexagon:  (720°/6) = 120°

Pentagon:  (540°/5) = 108°

Triangle = 60°

Square = 90°

Refer to the attached diagram for the calculations.

By adding up the angles we know that are adjacent to x and y, and setting the total to 360°, we can calculate the missing angles x and y.

x = 72°

y = 90°

I started the problem for B3, but am not certain how to find the angles for the isosceles triangles without more information.

C=1500+4x where x is cds, C is cost
R=10x where R is revenue
then, P=R-C
P=10x-1500-4x
P=6x-1500
set P=0
1500=6x

The volume of a rectangular solid can be written as V=LWH, where L is the length of the solid, W is the width, and H is the heig
marshall27 [118]

Answer:

The length of the rectangle is 9 inches.

The height of the rectangle is 11 inches.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : The volume of a rectangular solid can be written as V=LWH, where L is the length of the solid, W is the width, and H is the height. A box of cereal has a width of 2 inches. It’s height is 2 inches longer than it’s length. If the volume of the box is 198 cubic inches.

To find : What are the length and height of the box ?

Solution :

The width of the box is L inches

The width of the box is W=2 inches

The height is 2 inches longer than it’s length i.e H=L+2

The volume of a rectangular solid is V=L\times W\times H

198=L\times 2\times (L+2)

99=L^2+2L

L^2+2L-99=0

L^2+11L-9L-99=0

L(L+11)-9(L+11)=0

(L+11)(L-9)=0

L=-11,9

Reject L=-11 as dimension cannot be negative.

The length of the rectangle is 9 inches.

The height of the rectangle is 11 inches.

The measure of one angle is 130 which statement is true regarding the 130 angle and angle 3
Dafna11 [192]
According to Figure that is shown below, the correct answer for this problem is:

B. They are alternate interior angles, so angle 3 also measures 130°.

The same happens with 7 and 11. This is an obtuse angle, that is, this kind of angles measures more than 90° but less than 180°.
