We've been given to find out the equation of a line who has its slope (m) = -2 and a Y-intercept = 1. So here we have basically two things i.e,

  • Slope (m) = -2

  • Y-intercept (c) = 1

First of all we must know the unique form of equation of line which is y = mx + c which is only applicable for those who have slope and y-intercept defined in it.

Placing respective values,

:\implies\rm{y = mx + c}

:\implies\rm{y =  - 2x + 1}

  • The equation of line is y = -2x + 1

<h2 /><h2>ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: </h2>

1) Slope point form equation: If a line passes through point (x,y) and slope (m) then equation of line is given by,

:\implies\rm{ y - y_1 = m(x - x_1)}

2) Two point form equation: If a line passes through two distinct points A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) then equation of line is given by,

:\implies\rm{ \frac{y - y_1}{y_1 - y_2}  =  \frac{x - x_1}{x_1 - x_2} }

3) Double intercept form: If x & y intercepts of line are small 'a' and 'b' then equation of line is given by,

:\implies\rm{ \frac{x}{a}  +  \frac{y}{b}  = 1}

The mean absolute deviation measures which of the following from the data given?
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

Variability

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean absolute deviation (MAD) of a data set is the average distance between each data value and the mean. Mean absolute deviation is a way to describe variation in a data set. Mean absolute deviation helps us get a sense of how "spread out" the values in a data set are.
