Answer:

Mark has 18 shirts

Given that together they have 140 shirts.

x + 7x - 4 = 140

8x = 140 + 4

8x = 144

x = 144/8

x = 18

Joe has 122 shirts

7x - 4

7 × 18 - 4

126 - 4

= 122

Three friends Steve, Jake and Jodie shared a pizza. Steve ate 2/5 of the pizza and Jake ate 1/4
nlexa [21]
Note that they together ate all of the pizza.
Therefore the total fractions they ate should add up to 1.

By letting the fraction Jodie ate be x.

x + 2/5 + 1/4 = 1
x = 7/20

The answer is 7/20.

How does the volume of a cylinder change when its diameter is tripled
cupoosta [38]
V(cylinder)= πr²h
d=2r,
d is diameter, r is radius.
When diameter is tripled, a new diameter D=3d,
new radius R=3d/2=(3*2r)/2=3r
R=3r

V(new cylinder)= πR²h = π(3r)²h=9πr²h

V(new cylinder)/V(cylinder)=9πr²h/πr²h=9

Volume new cylinder 9 times more the volume of old cylinder.

Answer:

The approximate probability is 0.7325.

Is not unlikely that a driver in that age bracket is involved in a car crash during a year, so there are reasons to be concerned.

Step-by-step explanation:

The approximate probability can be estimated using the sample proportion:

p=\dfrac{X}{n}=\dfrac{293}{400}=0.7325

A probability of 0.7325 is high, so it is not unlikely that a driver in that age bracket is involved in a car crash during a year.

As this value is high, there is reasons to be concerned about it.
